How you can help

ABOUT OUR NURSE & PHYSIOTHERAPIST SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Roads to Rehab Nepal funds the wages of MeRO’s three nurses  and their  physiotherapist. You can contribute to the wages of their nurses and physiotherapist through our Nurse and Physiotherapist Sponsorship program by making an annual, monthly or fortnightly payment using any of the payment options outlined in the ‘Donate Now’ section of this website. 100% of your contributions will go to pay the wages and any other associated costs such as the ongoing professional development of your sponsored staff member.

Whilst the donation of any amount of funds is welcomed, we have four different levels of sponsorship. These figures are in Aussie dollars. As a rough guide, AU$10 is equal to about US$7:

  • PLATINUM – $1000 a year ($80 a month or $40 a fortnight)
  • GOLD – $500 a year ($40 a month or $20 a fortnight)
  • SILVER – $250 a year ($20 a month or $10 a fortnight)
  • BRONZE – $100 a year ($10 per month or $5 a fortnight)

Please contact us if you wish to become a sponsor and let us know whether you want to support a nurse/physiotherapist/ either! We do need your email address so we can send you regular receipts and quarterly communications from sponsored staff members (unless you advise us you do not want to receive these).

We love regular, recurring  donations, because as well as funding the salaries of MeRO’s clinical staff, they provide both organisations with much needed stability and help our budgeting.  GlobalGiving also regularly provides a 100% match on your first month’s gift! Go to our ‘Donate now’ tab for more information  and set up a scheduled regular recurring donation through either GlobalGiving or your bank…thank you!

THERE ARE MANY OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP – VISIT NEPAL

If you are visiting Nepal and have some spare kilos in your luggage allowance ?

Contact us – MeRO often needs things that you don’t! We can also make suggestions, for example do a collection amongst people you know for donations of pre-loved sheets, towels and small size adult or children’s clothing, medical equipment, children/s books, games, toys and Samrat, MeRO’s Director, will organise to have it picked up from your hotel unless you would like to come for a visit!

Want to see a different side of Nepal?
You are welcome to arrange a visit to MeRO’s Shelter, just let us know and we will put you in touch.

Need a trekking agency for either short trips around the Kathmandu Valley or further afield?

We can refer you to Adventure Thamserku Treks & Tours http://www.adventurethamserku.com– they are the best trekking company in the world  and we speak from experience! If you are looking for a travel agent in Australia, we highly recommend Carole Parker from Parker and Turner Travel Associates in Canberra for any domestic or international travel arrangements.

Create an event and set up a fundraising page with or without doing something special for yourself!

Take on a challenge to raise money for us – it does not have to be in Nepal! But when we can travel again, turn a trek or a 6000m peak, or even Everest into a fundraiser

Finished trekking? Have medications you no longer need?    Contact NHEDF and they will take them off your hands!

Christmas, birthdays and weddings are big events – give a gift that gives twice!

In return for a donation we can email you a gift certificate in the name of the recipient for any amount or any occasion! Make a donation and email us with the name of the recipient and the message and you will receive your gift certificate within 7 days.

Do you have a business? Supporting businesses who choose to be a gold or platinum sponsor receive the right to have their logo on our website for as long as they are a current donor.

Want to help us with the practical aspects of running a not-for-profit organisation? Can you do a job we can’t? You may have skills we lack including but not limited to marketing, media and website development;  Can you help us do what we are doing better? We would love to hear from you!
